A Birthday in the 'BURG!!

Last weekend J and I had a getaway to celebrate my birthday.

I do not particularly love the idea of getting old,

but if that means we get to have a fun weekend together,

then I don't mind it so much....=)

J surprised me with a weekend in Fredericksburg, Texas!

I had not been there since I was a kid, so it was nice to go back and see it all again.

The good thing about Fredericksburg is that you can shop and run around all day,

or you can just relax and hang out.

We did a little of both.

At the Hoffman Haus in the Bluebonnet Suite.

We at at August E's Friday AND Saturday night.

I did sushi Saturday night and it was EXCELLENT!

We had a great time at dinner just visiting and enjoying the food.

It is always better when you are in NO HURRY. =)

By the way, the big bowl in front of me was just my appetizer......lol!

My favorite find at one of the antique stores downtown.

Seriously. I wanted to "model" it and take a picture....lol!!

But of course that would have been a bit awkward for all the men shopping......

And NO, I did not buy it!

But I think that Canterbury Court in Corsicana

needs to carry more items like this at

Lowell's famous container sales!! =)

All in all it was a very relaxing trip.
And quick!
J had to work Monday.
It is amazing how busy he is everyday!
Which is something to always be truly thankful for.

Now, I am hoping in the next few weekends
I will get to "redeem" my birthday surprise
with Joseph at Neimans! *SMILE*
