Weekend ReCap! - Food, Fireworks & and a Prison Break!! Oh My!

I certainly hope that ALL of you had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!!
Everyone I have talked to today is still stuffed from all the food and is exhausted from all the activities!

I think it's a good tired though --
The "oh my goodness I had so much fun I can't stay awake at work" kind of tired!

We had all kinds of fun this weekend.
Relaxing, dinner with family,
church picnic (I was an ice cream judge - lol!), fireworks, etc.

This year we decided to go to the lot to see if we could see the fireworks from the future backyard. My friend's parents can see them from their pool so we thought we had a good chance to see some the show!

And since Bailey LOATHES fireworks with all her heart and soul, we took her to the lot, because if she were left her at my house, the noise would have been
WAY too much to handle - the fireworks were setoff about 150 yards from
my front door at the park across the street.
I live in the medical district. =)
(you have to know how I divide my town and name each 'hood
in order to think that is funny!)

This is the 4th of July sunset at the lot.
This is the view from the future backyard.
I love it! Great view and STILL right in the middle of town!
You can see J a little bit in the shadows as he's checking everything out. =)

While we were waiting, Bailey had to catch the frisbee and run around, so she got thirsty. You would have thought the pup had not had a drink in DAYS.

She's so dramatic sometimes.

Wonder where she gets THAT from??? *wink wink*

{Some satisfaction after a gallon or two of H2O.}

And to OUR satisfaction, the view was GREAT!!!
The fireworks were really visible.
(granted, Corsicana fireworks are nothing like WDW fireworks,
but they got the job done!!)
I am So excited!
This means that every year from now on, we can see the fireworks from the house!
So we can have a 4th of July party, or just have a nice night together to enjoy the show!!
Yet another added bonus that will make the house WELL worth the wait. =)
We also did a little yardwork at the lot over the weekend. I hate yardwork. But honestly, I did not mind it so much because I'm so excited about all the progress that will happen in the next many moons!
*****
Don't get me wrong, we relaxed PLENTY too.
Our buildings were both nice and quiet, as the first floor boors were gone all weekend!!
*****
The weekend was a huge success!
I realized once again how lucky I am and how many people I can call my friend.
*****
Oh and YAY for Freedom!!!! -
Except for the two prisoners who escaped from Juvi-Jail during the fireworks.
NO FREEDOM FOR YOU!!!!
Glad you two are back in your cells, serving your time......
ONLY in The CAN......=)
