Who knew ovens and ranges could be so amazing and beautiful at the same time!?!!
These are truly works of art!!
This baby has an electric oven, a gas oven and the range top features and combinations are endless!! J can REALLY cook now!!!
Neither of these is our actual oven of course. When we pick the color and trim
(We both liked the same combo - which isn't surprising at all),
we make the official order to Paris. Then one artisan in Paris builds the oven from hand. He even engraves your name on the oven and will put a quote, proverb, name of your house, etc on it.
It's made as an heirloom piece, JUST for you.
So cool!!! Families hand these down from generation to generation. They are a big deal in Europe.
J now has to decide what he wants on the personalization.
I can't wait to see what he picks!
We are also getting the La Cornue rotisserie.
You can see it in the pictures above. It will cook everything from fish to a 12 pound turkey! All while catching the drippings in a ceramic pan in the bottom. For example, you can roast a chicken and have the juices collect on the pan with some potatoes. So you have the perfect seasoning on the vegtables as well as the perfect chicken!
This is so French!!!
Anyhow, that's a little peek of what we are working on for the house.
I'm so excited about everything and am endlessly thankful to J for how hard he works to make his, and our, dreams come true.
He's such a good man and I know deserves a beautiful home so he can escape the day and feel like he's in the French countryside!
