I survived BABYLON!!!!

Our VBS 2012 Theme was Daniel and his captivity in Babylon! The whole church was turned into the ancient city and we learned all kinds of Old Testament lessons! VBS ended last night and I am so completely worn out this morning! There were a few moments where I was questioning my desire for a child (lol!), but I know that all the hard work was worth it. There were some wonderful moments with the kids and I knew they were learning about God and how much they are loved. Makes my heart feel so happy!  I hope some seeds were planted this week!
We had 12 tribes this year. Kindergarten was the Tribe of Joseph!

Rachel made the palm trees and I drew the stone walls in chalk!

Here I am modeling our fancy tribe headpieces from Walmart. I think between the campfires, beaded  nametags, tribe banners and headpieces, that Rachel and I went just a teensy bit overboard this year. ;-)

Here are some of my tribe members. They LOVE being center state!

A little fun in the sanctuary...
We made tribal camp fires so when we came back to tribe time, everyone could sit around the fire together.

They LOVED it when I turned the lights out so we could have quiet time!
