Loving the New 'Hood

NOT to brag....
BUT today is my Friday!!

*cue angelic choir singing the "Hallelujah chorus"!*
I am most definitely excited about having a few days off.

Should be a great long weekend.....

Last night J and I mapped out our new walking "path" in the new 'hood.

I had no idea how long it would be on foot.

It is wonderful because we can get over three miles if we cover the 'hood twice.

This of course comes in handy as I just found out this morning at Dr. Bo's that
Bailey Bailskins is becoming a Large Marge.

She is now 81 lbs, up from her 77 about two months ago!!

Yikes!!

Time for her to lose some libbies!!
Neither Bailey nor I really like "working out" in this heat.
But it's time to get it done!

So I'm glad we have a new neighborhood to walk in for her too.
It's nice because we don't have deal with the current fugly neighbors.

{On a side note, I felt that since I had to go to my "yearly" fun doctor's appointment recently, that Bailey should have her "yearly" appointment too. haha! I still can't believe when I was at my appointment that I told my doctor that I was "ready for my closeup".......}

My blog makeover should be finished pretty soon!
I'm so excited!
It is going to be "wild"!!!!

Good Times!
Love, E

I have my yearly appointment coming up too. Yuck. I may have to use your line to break the awkwardness.:)

My OBGYN is a guy that's kinda sorta friends with my dad. Weird. And his hands are always icy cold, so when he does the breast exam part, I always laugh because the iciness catches me off guard... even though I know it's coming. But then I try to stop laughing because I don't want to be smiling. I don't want him to think that I'm enjoying it or something.

And then he always makes small talk about my dad during the other exam. Weird again.

It's the worst appointment ever. I'd switch Drs but I've been with him since I was 17 and he delivered all of my babies. So it's like what's the point? It's not really something that you shop around for.

Have fun on your birthday excursion! You still don't know where you're going, right? I hear Waxahachie is supposed to be BEAUTIFUL this time of year. ;) Haha

My Doctor is hilarious.

I do my best to make him crack up everytime I see him.

He was examining my village feeders and kept talking about all these family members and people we know.

I'm like "OMG how much longer do you have to feel me up while we are discussing old school teachers and my aunts and uncles!!"

I did get the talk this last time about how I'm not getting any younger and that I need to start thinking about whether I will have kids soon or not.....

I was like "well, we aren't married yet and I do not want to be a single mother in the projects on WIC."

He loved that.

He said J needs to get it together because I could give him some really pretty babies....and that men reach a time in their lives when they "want a wife, a home and want to produce and heir or offspring". LOL!

He's crazy. But fun to visit with.
=)
