Here is the "Water for Elephants" movie trailer......
I just finished reading this book last week.
And I must say, I really did enjoy it.
I was not sure if I would, since I always get really pissy when animals are abused.
So there were times throughout the book when I thought:
"This better end really good, or I'm gonna be so mad!"
The Circus has always been such a mystery to me.
I am not sure why.
Maybe because I got beat out of the part of Jumbo the Elephant
in our Fifth Grade Musical "The Greatest Show on Earth",
even after I took lessons to improve my English accent.
I'm not bitter though, not at all....=)
Or maybe it's because when I was also a kid, I thought that the circus seemed like such a fun adventure, traveling from town to town and dressing in sequin costumes and entertaining crowds.
Regardless, "Water for Elephants" described "circus life" brilliantly.
It is hard, challenging, insecure and unsafe, while at the same time magical, mysterious and utterly beautiful at times.
And the characters in the book are wonderful, completely believable,
whether they are evil or good.
Many times I have been so disappointed when a fabulous book is made into a lackluster movie.....but by the look of the trailer,
I'm thinking this could really be a great movie!

I am so excited to see this movie! Not that I get to the movies often, but this is one I will see.
